We yell power to the people  cause the people got the power

I'm just here to let you know that the power's still ours

But you got to stand for something and you cannot be a coward

Cause this system will eat you

We was meant to be devoured

Huey P wrote in revolutionary suicide

No more tears

It s only blood in my eyes

Spread the truth to my peoples

Stop sharing them lies

Shake the devil off your back

Stand up and rise

Got to feed your community and take care of the women

Got to lead with unity

And go guide these children

Tell that youngster he don t got to sell dope

He don t go to rob nobody

And he ain’t gon  end up broke

As we teach them education on

How they could make chicken

Without committing crimes

Doing life in San Quentin

And can still rock designer draped down in Louis V

Be a leader and a teacher like Dr. Huey P!

All  through the bay and in LA Seattle Chicago New York and Philly where they laid down law

Chapters in the UK and Algeria

Spreading black power causing  FBI hysteria

Promoting that open carry to  stand guard

Against police brutality so we're  the proletarian vanguard

From '66 to '82 always had trouble

But I was just addressing the class struggle - Power to the People!
